People With Their Cars

My photoshow of "DC Musicians with their Cars" and Pat Graham’s show of "Photos of some of the same People Live! in their Band", was a collaborative project conceptualized while we were sharing a booth selling our photographs at the Indie Rock Flea Market outside Washington, DC in the summer of 1995. There, we would put our photographs on tour like a band. Using the continually expanding collection of my photographs already exhibited in Sidney Australia and at the Washington Project for the Arts, in 1995 and 1996; the show was comprised of those photographs, "DC Musicians with their Cars" and Pat’s photos of the same people in my photos but these same musicians playing live on stage. As the tour continued, we added in newer photographs as older photographs sold in each city.
